Consilius

Make the matter
make sense.

A legal matter can arrive as scattered documents, half-remembered dates and questions you don’t know how to ask. We’re developing Consilius to help people prepare for a lawyer, and give lawyers a source-linked workspace for research, drafting and the working file. Firm tools would keep the team’s matter context together.

Help shape Consilius. Get in touch to join the early-access list.

01 / Different responsibilities

Different sides of the desk.

Preparing to meet a lawyer is not the same job as researching a case or running a firm. Consilius is being designed for those different needs, with the responsibility and tools kept clear.

Walk into the consultation preparedFor individuals and businesses

Bring a timeline, the documents you need to discuss and questions you want answered. The public assistant is being designed to turn a confusing starting point into a focused conversation with a lawyer, with plain-language explanations and references—not a legal strategy chosen for you.

  • Plain-language explanations with source references
  • Document summaries and factual timelines
  • Consultation questions and document checklists

Legal information, not legal advice. No final filing instructions or outcome predictions.

Build the case behind the draftFor lawyers

Get from a pile of documents to a chronology, a draft memo and the sources behind an argument. The lawyer workbench is planned for authority research, case comparison and evidence-linked drafting, with lawyer review throughout. The aim is a working file you can question, not a draft you have to take on trust.

  • Case research and precedent comparison
  • Drafting, contract review and evidence timelines
  • Argument maps and citation checks

The lawyer retains professional judgment. AI drafts and citation checks still need human verification.

Keep the team in the same matterFor law firms

A matter shouldn’t lose its context every time it changes hands. The planned firm workspace would connect colleagues, files and firm-supplied knowledge, with permissions and a record of the work.

  • Shared matter workspaces and seat administration
  • Search across firm-supplied templates and prior work
  • Audit logs and country-level configuration

Firm permissions, confidentiality and data-residency controls need to be implemented and reviewed before launch. Regulatory approval is not established.

02 / A traceable foundation

A citation shouldlead somewhere.

The source behind the answer

The plan is to place legislation, case law, court guidance and permitted commentary alongside the explanation. Jurisdiction packs would retain citations, effective dates, amendment history and change alerts, so there is somewhere to check the answer. Coverage depends on source availability, licensing and review.

See what went into the estimate

Rules-based fee, interest and deadline estimates would show the jurisdiction, inputs, assumptions and dated source rules. Estimates do not decide legal entitlement. Deadlines must be confirmed with a lawyer or court; this page runs no calculations.

03 / Finding professional help

Find a lawyerwho fits the question.

The planned lawyer finder uses factual profiles and filters for jurisdiction, practice area, language and availability. Registration checks and clear sponsored-listing labels are part of the design. Paid placement is not a recommendation, and a booking request is not an accepted legal engagement.
